Current CVA Rifles and Muzzleloaders Review

Here is a video list and short description on for all of the current CVA rifles and muzzleloaders

The Accura MR (mountain rifle) Muzzleloader

The ACCURA MR is CVA’s newest addition to the ACCURA family of premium muzzleloading rifles. Our ACCURA Mountain Rifle joins the ACCURA V2 models, which are already among the most popular top-of-the-line muzzleloaders on the market today. With its lightweight design (6.35 pounds) and shorter, more compact 25” barrel, the ACCURA MR is designed to be easier to carry and more maneuverable than our other full-featured muzzleloaders – with a fit and ease of target acquisition that is reminiscent of a custom-made rifle. And the ACCURA MR sports all the features that have made CVA’s ACCURA V2 famous – a custom quality Bergara Barrel®, Quick Release Breech Plug (QRBP), Trigger Guard Actuated Breeching Action, Neutral Center of Gravity Trigger, matching Quake® Claw® Sling and premium SoftTouch stock with rubber grip panels. The ACCURA MR is available in either our new Nitride treated stainless steel barrel with a Realtree® MAX-1™ stock or our standard 416 stainless steel barrel with a solid black stock. The Accura MR also includes a DuraSight® Dead -On™ one-piece scope mount and CVA’s new PalmSaver Ramrod.

The Accura V2 Muzzleloader

All CVA ACCURA® models provide a level of accuracy performance that is unequaled by any break-action muzzleloaders on the market today. This degree of precision is attained because the ACCURA is equipped with a premium, custom quality Bergara Barrel. These barrels have quickly become recognized as the most accurate production muzzleloader barrels in the world, and are now available in either Nitride treated 416 grade stainless steel or standard 416 grade stainless steel. All ACCURA V2 rifles include CVA’s patent pending QRBP “Quick-Release Breech Plug” – the only such breech plug on the market that can be easily removed with your fingers and no tool. Plus, the ACCURA V2 stock and forestock are upgraded with a SoftTouch coating and rubber grip panels – making it comfortable and secure even in the foulest weather. These ergonomically designed stocks are fully ambidextrous and are available in both standard and thumbhole designs. And the ACCURA V2 is very simple to operate because the breeching lever is built right into the trigger guard, making the ACCURA V2 one of the easiest opening break-actions on the market. One screw disassembly makes the gun easy to take apart for cleaning or travel. And every ACCURA V2 model comes with a Quake® Claw® Sling, a DuraSight® DEAD-ON one-piece scope mount or DuraSight® fiber optic sights and a PalmSaver solid aluminum ramrod as standard equipment.

The CVA Apex Rifle and Muzzleloader

The APEX is, quite frankly, the best break-action, multi-barrel interchangeable rifle system on the market today. Just by shouldering the APEX, the serious shooter will notice a vast superiority to its competitors in both balance and fit. But the real test comes with the shooting.  And it is in the shooting that two very important features make the APEX really shine. First, every APEX barrel is made by Bergara Barrels, which are among the most accurate production barrels made in the world today. Second, APEX’s ambidextrous buttstock is designed specifically for scope shooting, with a comb height that positions the shooter perfectly in line with the optics. The result is a rifle that shoulders and points as naturally as your favorite shotgun – just like it’s an extension of your body.

The CVA Scout V2 Rifle

The new SCOUT V2 is very similar in design to the APEX centerfire rifle, but without the interchangeable barrel capability. So, for the hunter who wants a high quality single shot rifle in only one caliber, the SCOUT V2 is the ideal choice. Sleek, lightweight, and easy to operate, the SCOUT V2 sets a new standard for affordable single shot hunting rifles. The SCOUT V2 sports a 22” fluted barrel that is constructed of 416 grade stainless steel. The stocks are lightweight and 100% ambidextrous, plus they feature CVA’s CrushZone Recoil pad – a real plus for heavier calibers, like the .35 Whelen. The SCOUT V2 is also available in a “Compact” version (1” shorter stock and 2” shorter barrel) – which makes it perfect as a deer rifle for the smaller stature hunter, or for anyone as an easy to maneuver “truck gun” or “brush gun.” Caliber offerings in the Compact model include .243, 7mm-08, and .35 Remington, while the standard length SCOUT V2s are chambered in .35 Whelen, .35 Remington, .44 Magnum, and .300 Blackout (with a suppressor ready 16.5 inch threaded barrel). All SCOUT V2 rifles feature a genuine DuraSight ®DEAD-ON™ one-piece scope mount as standard equipment.

The CVA Optima V2 Muzzleloader

Modeled after CVA’s top-of-the-line ACCURA V2, the OPTIMA V2 features the same trigger-guard actuated breeching lever, internal parts, and “neutral center-of-gravity” trigger. And new for 2015, we now offer OPTIMA V2 models featuring our state-of-the-art Nitride rust-proofing process. Add in CVA’s Quick Release Breech Plug (which is finger removable without any tool what-so-ever), 100% ambidextrous stock, and a CrushZone recoil pad, and you’ve got a gun with more quality features than any other muzzleloading rifle in its price range. Equipped with a 26” 416 grade stainless steel barrel, the OPTIMA V2 is easy to maneuver in the tree stand and comfortable to carry in the mountains. And it comes standard with a DuraSight® Dead -On™ one-piece scope mount or DuraSight® fiber optic sights and CVA’s solid aluminum PalmSaver ramrod.

The CVA Wolf  Muzzleloader

The newly redesigned WOLF™ has all the features that made the original WOLF the number one selling muzzleloader in the world plus many new features. Still lightweight and easy to maneuver, the new WOLF even comes in a COMPACT version that is just the right length for the youth or small-framed adult, or even for the shooter who just wants a quick-handling gun for brush hunting. The 100% ambidex- trous stocks are available in either black or Realtree® Hardwoods Green camo. The WOLF also features CVAs new QRBP (Quick-Release Breech Plug) the only truly tool-free removal breech plug on the market today. Even after 20 or more shots, the QRBP comes out with just a twist of the fingers try that with any other “speed breech” system. Plus, the break-action breech opens easily with just a touch of the breeching button, which is located in the front of the trigger guard. The WOLFs compact and quick-pointing barrel is made of blued steel and is set up with all-metal DuraSight® fiber optic sights. The new WOLF, its a lot of gun but not a lot of money.

The CVA Buckhorn Muzzleloader

The BUCKHORN 209 Magnum is an ultra-modern conventional in-line, and the heart of this high-tech smokepole is the precision rifled 24” barrel with a 1:28” twist. It’s powered by an extremely hot 209 ignition system and will handle 150 grain magnum charges with ease. And in states where 209 primers are not allowed, the Buckhorn can be easily converted to a #11 or musket cap ignition by simply changing the breech plug and adding the correct nipple. Plus, the BUCKHORN comes standard with a thumb-actuated safety, DuraSight All Metal fiber optic sights, dual-barrel retention points and a Bullet Guiding Muzzle. Another feature that really sets this gun apart from the competition is its radical new stock design. The BUCKHORN’s unique stock features dot grip panels to ensure a comfortable, non-slip grip. Not bad for a rifle that retails for less than two Ben Franklins!

I bought the mountain rifle and WOW is all I can say. I got it two weeks before season this year and I killed two deer, 125 yards and 142 yards. First one took a few steps and down, second one, the impact lifted it in the air a few inches and when it landed it piled up. This is THE MOST accurate gun I have ever shot and it sure does have a ton of impact energy. The entrance hole is larger than the exit, impact causing. I will NEVER get rid of this muzzle. After my friends saw mine and the damage it creates and the accuracy 4 of my hunting buddies now are owners of these guns. I should be a salesman for these, it would be easy sell. Oh and when i went and sighted it in at 100 yards, I pulled up on the 200 yard target and first shot was 1 inch left. 1 inch, that is crazy good for 200 yards first try. I have owned others in the past and this gun makes it simple.
